When the heart breaks,
You can see through the cracks everything that it lacked,
And then you could know exactly what you need
When you can take what you never had and make it bleed/

Indeed to be a whole person has it's price,
The only downfall to Love is disregard for this life,
And death is the reward for taking that next step,
Because without Love I wouldn't want to be alive/

And happiness is a surprise, look at how it's wrapped,
Like a present in disguise in another persons eyes,
Love is so untapped look at how it's kept,
Hidden in forbidden lies confused with sex/

Sitting under our nose but nobody knows,
Camouflaged to protect it from those easily defected,
But displayed in broad daylight,
To say to all It's children "It's OK, You are Mine"/

Let The Past Go

Dear Self,

Oh how precious is the mirror's wealth,

Your reflection is a culmination of all your imperfections,

One image can tell all of your year's wealth,

It's deception, but your past changes your perception

And hindsight wont disguise that it's always a surprise

A discovery that you didn't expect to find,

When you see yourself as through another persons eyes,

Your unable to hide, cause you see whats inside

It's like your face is stained with every tear you've ever cried

Ashamed, because you remember every single saying

When they called you out your name, killing all your pride

Your reverse doesn't show anything but the lies,

Cause you're your worst critic, you don't get it?

Every compliment went in one ear and came out the other side

Like forget it, you'd rather be scrutinized admit it,

Cause that's easier to believe when you have no self esteem/
